Standing
Committees
Each of the standing
committees meets monthly. Anyone who wishes to participate
in the activities listed, is willing to serve on a committee,
or needs assistance from a committee should contact the church
office at 724-537-4450 or send us email.
Children,
Youth and Family Ministry
It is the mission of
the Youth of Trinity to grow in faith toward God, commitment
to the church and love for Jesus Christ, each other and ourselves.
The mission of the Youth Committee is to provide a balanced
youth ministry and facilitate programs in the areas of worship,
learning, service, social, witness and developing. Trinity's
Youth Ministry provides opportunities for all youth in grades
4-12 and is split into three groups: Preteen Group, Jr.
High Group and Sr. High Group.
Recently, a part-time Children, Youth and Family Ministry
Worker has been added to this committee. The Children, Youth and Family Ministry Worker works
to maintain and further develop our youth ministries, coordinates existing ministries
and works to expand participation in youth activities. The Youth Committee
meets the fourth Tuesday of every month.

and understanding of this congregation’s constitution and bylaws
and with the continuing resolutions of the Congregation Council.

Evangelism
This committee is known as Trinity's
E-Team. They work to make Trinity an inviting, welcoming,
faith-sharing and mission-minded church.
Back to top Fellowship
This committee takes pride in
being known as the " fun " committee of
the church, but it also provides a very important ministry
at Trinity. In a church as large as ours, events that
allow for interaction between members who attend different
services and between all diverse age groups are vital. In
addition, inclusion of non-members in fellowship events provides
a golden opportunity for evangelism. Several annual events
have become the foundation of the Fellowship Committee program. Activities
are planned for almost every month and numerous receptions
are hosted by the committee.
Back to top Finance
This committee oversees the
finances of Trinity. Reports of our financial status
are prepared by the Treasurer and reviewed by this committee. Decisions
about investment philosophies are made by this committee in
concert with the trust officer. Other items addressed
are preparation of the congregational budget, arranging for
audits, preparation of the congregational budget, arranging
for audits, preparing a list of approved tellers to count offerings
each week, and participating in the process for special gifts
requests.
Back to
top Mutual
Ministry
The Mutual Ministry Committee
is comprised of six members who represent a cross-section of
the congregation. They are selected to serve in support to
our pastoral and lay staff and as "listening ears" to
the congregation, usually meeting every other month. Should
concerns arise, members are encouraged to contact one of the
committee (names are listed in each Triangle). Because of the
sensitivity and confidentiality of matters discussed, the meetings
are not open to the public.
Back to
top Personnel
This committee oversees the
work of this congregation's hired staff. Some areas of concern
for the committee include: hired staff concerns, training,
and professional development; office operations and efficiency
(supported by the Information Technologies Subcommittee); and
maintaining/updating the Hired Personnel Handbook and staff
position descriptions. The committee provides annual evaluations
to the Congregation Council on the performance of the hired
staff and reviews the finalized performance evaluations of
the Congregation Council with the hired staff. The Personnel
Committee recommends the hiring and discharging of staff to
the Congregation Council in accordance with the Hired Personnel
Handbook, constitution, and bylaws of our congregation. The
committee also makes recommendations to the Congregation Council
as to the compensation and benefit packages for the hired staff
for each fiscal year budget.
Back
To Top Property
The Property Committee takes care
of the physical facilities of our church. Because of its heavy
use, items such as painting and refurbishing are always before
us. The committee works on improvement projects, calling on
electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills. The committee also
oversees the maintenance of the exterior of the building and
grounds. Men and women, young and old, are needed for the many
tasks. They may work together on scheduled "work days," or
offer themselves individually as time allows for special projects.
There are never enough people and always more things to be
accomplished!

To Top Stewardship
The Stewardship Committee's
primary focus is to encourage all members to get involved and
participate in Trinity by offering their time & talents.
Trinity's many and diverse ministries pro- vide an opportunity
for each member to respond to God's gracious love by giving
of themselves. Whatever your gifts may be-singing, cooking,
painting, secretarial, etc. there is a place for you! The Stewardship
Committee is also an integral part of the annual fall campaign
asking members to respond in faith by offering a portion of
their income to support Trinity's ministries. The committee
is dedicated to the continued growth and prosperity of our
spiritual community.
